There is really no reason for any low self-esteem here. This one stood out when going through dA.

As a co-founder of :iconflying-islands-here:, I have had the pleasure of seeing and admiring flying islands and similar sky- or landscapes for quite a while now and I can honestly say that this is very good.
Of course, flying islands aren't the hardest subject to draw, but still, you there are some really strong positive aspects and basically no negative aspects to this particular image.

The strongest point is of course the colours. Those are very pretty. Top 10 material, I'd say. The foreground grass is almost tasty! It looks fresh and at the same time, it has this warm feeling due to some red tones. The water with those marvellous reflections - magic. And then some lubricious brown and great blue shades in the sky, blurred around faraway objects, creating a sfumato in a way that is very fitting considering the waterfalls. ;-)

Next up are shapes. Of course, this is a speed paint, but still the shapes are there, rather clean and rather subtle, I like that. They're selling the foreground grass, the rocks in the top island and the palm trees (which work really well as silhouettes).

Nice clouds. And nice lightness distribution throughout the sky!

It almost looks as if the water dissolves into clouds! Pretty.

Here's the only thing I have a problem with: It's too small. =) Well, that's probably due to its nature as a speed paint.
